CHAINON AMONG THE 100 MOST INNOVATIVE STARTUPS IN ITALY ACCORDING TO STARTUPITALIA

Bologna, May 26, 2025 – ChainOn, the international marketplace that is revolutionizing the digital management of sponsorships through blockchain, proprietary algorithms, and artificial intelligence, has been selected by StartupItalia as one of the 100 most innovative startups in the country, ranking in the top 10 in the Sport Tech sector. This recognition comes from the prestigious “SIOS25 ROAD Paper,” a strategic report outlining the roadmap for technological and digital transformation in Italy.
Launched in March 2022, the ChainOn marketplace quickly attracted high-profile partners such as Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, Dinamo Sassari, Lega Volley Serie A, Trentino Volley, Lube Volley Civitanova, Imoco Conegliano, Honda LCR MotoGP Team, Gresini Racing, and the Venice Marathon. The platform stands out for providing a secure and transparent digital environment that simplifies and speeds up the selection, negotiation, and signing of sponsorship deals through smart contracts, eliminating traditional complexities in the industry. ChainOn’s strategy is evolving from a digital meeting place between supply and demand in the sponsorship market (which is expected to reach $117 billion globally in 2025) into a virtual marketplace for partnerships with communication, environmental, and social (ESG) impact—a rapidly growing sector currently valued at over $38.1 billion.
In June 2024, ChainOn successfully completed a capital increase, valuing the company at over €3.3 million, with funds allocated to technological and strategic development. This round, the first open to external investors, attracted prominent international managers and investors, further strengthening corporate governance through the creation of a prestigious advisory board. A new €1 million round is currently being structured, reserved for funds and financial operators.
“Being recognized among the most innovative startups in Italy makes us proud and validates the success of our strategic and technological vision,” said Giovanni Palazzi, CEO of ChainOn. “In a competitive landscape with over 18,000 innovative startups, ChainOn continues to stand out for its innovation capabilities and a clear strategy that—through its expansion into the ESG market—positions the company within the most promising sector for the next 10 years, both in the private and public domains”.
