From 15 to 17 September, the spectacular setting of the Circus Maximus in Rome is preparing to host the return of great equestrianism with the Italian leg of the Longines Global Champions Tour. The event is universally recognised as the “Formula 1 of equestrianism” and represents a moment of great resonance for the Italian capital. Olympians, world champions and the best horses from all over the world will compete in the heart of Rome, offering the public three days of exciting equestrian competitions.

LONGINES TITLE SPONSOR. Sponsoring top-level equestrian events such as this one offers brands like Longines an extraordinary opportunity to expose their brand to a large and well-targeted international audience. Equestrianism is an ideal showcase for promoting luxury, as is also the case in other competitions (as we had already pointed out in a Blogchain article referring to the European show jumping championships https://www.chainon.it/equitazione-al-via-a-milano-i-campionati-europei-di-salto-ad-ostacoli/): the precision and elegance that characterise the Swiss manufacturer (and in general all brands linked to luxury), have a direct link with the spirit of equestrian competitions. Specifically, a suitably branded Circus Maximus will allow the public present to create unique associations between Longines and the equestrian world.

INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION OF THE EVENT: The Longines Global Champions Tour in Rome will bring together 123 riders from 30 different countries, with a rich prize pool of € 650,000 up for grabs. Among the participants will be the top two in the world, Sweden’s Henrik Von Eckermann and France’s Julien Epaillard, as well as Dutch Harrie Smolders, the circuit leader, and the top ten riders in the LGCT ranking. Six Azzurri will represent Italy in the competition, carrying forward the tricolour with determination. The event is the pinnacle of competition in show jumping, with an unforgettable atmosphere guaranteed by the unique setting of the Circus Maximus.
