WOMEN'S A SERIES AND ECOEVENTS: TOGETHER FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY
FIGC’s Women’s Serie A Division and Ecoevents, a partner of Legambiente, have launched a path to raise awareness for environmental sustainability. The first event covered by the agreement will be the Women’s Italian Cup final between Roma and Fiorentina, scheduled for Friday, May 24 at the ‘Dino Manuzzi’ stadium in Cesena. After the success of the initiatives implemented by Ecoevents for the men’s Coppa Italia finals in the last two years, the commitment in terms of environmental sustainability is extended to the women’s category as well.
THE INITIATIVES OF THE OUTREACH PROJECT
In line with the mission to promote sustainable practices and virtuous processes, a series of initiatives have been developed to reduce environmental impact in specific areas of the event. One of the focal points is the organization of targeted training on environmental sustainability, aimed at the most impactful suppliers and with particular attention to the food and beverage area. This training is extended to all personnel involved, ensuring that every operational aspect respects the principles of sustainability.
Special attention will be paid to the hospitality hall, which will be certified as an Eco Certified Event – Legambiente. This protocol, signed by Italy’s leading environmental association, is aimed at ensuring the achievement of high sustainable standards and low environmental impact. During the race, circular economy awareness messages will also be disseminated among spectators, promoting the adoption of good daily practices. The invitation is to support these actions by actively participating in proper waste management and circular economy.
THE IMPORTANCE FOR BRANDS TO COMMUNICATE THEIR COMMITMENT
Engaging in sustainability has become crucial for companies nowadays. Sustainability not only helps preserve the environment, but also strengthens brand image and reputation. Companies that adopt sustainable practices demonstrate social responsibility, gaining the trust and loyalty of consumers. In addition, sustainability can lead to competitive advantages, such as access to new markets and improved operational efficiency.
Communicating a commitment to sustainability is essential to create awareness and stimulate the adoption of virtuous behavior among the public. Sustainable initiatives can differentiate a brand from its competitors, attract like-minded investors and talent, and improve relationships with local communities. In an increasingly environmentally conscious market, commitment to sustainability is not just an ethical choice, but a strategic necessity for the long-term success of companies.
