Initially introduced by Article 81 of DL 104/2020, the so-called “August Decree” provides for the recognition of a contribution to companies that invest in sports: all, as a tax credit equal to 50 percent of the investment made. And it has been extended for all collaborations signed between 1/07/2023 and 30/09/2023.
The bonus, designed to support promoters of sports activities, has undergone several legislative updates over the years, which have extended its duration: the most recent revision – Art. 37 of DL 75/2023, here the possibility to read the full article in the Official Gazette https://www.gazzettaufficiale.it/eli/id/2023/06/22/23G00090/sg – has broadened the validity of application and, specifically, it states that it is aimed at: “Companies, self-employed persons and non-commercial entities that make investments in advertising campaigns in favor of organizers of national and international sports competitions and events, as well as in favor of sports associations and clubs that organize grassroots sports activities.” The extension will also apply to sponsorships aimed at promoting the activities of youth sports clubs and associations.
The recognized tax credit will reach up to 50 percent of the value of investments amounting to no less than €10,000 and up to the same amount.
