Italy is the reigning champion: the uniforms, made by Erreà, feature two brands, both on the front of the jersey: DHL with a rainbow-coloured message related to inclusion and BigMat with the double logo on the shoulders.

A total expected audience of more than 400 million people, and a social following of 4 billion views: these are the estimated numbers of the men’s European Volleyball Championship that will start tonight and will see the debut of De Giorgi’s national team against Belgium, in the first match of ‘Group A’ that also sees the presence of Estonia, Germany, Serbia and Switzerland.

THE JERSEY SPONSOR.The jersey of the National Team is made by the Technical Partner Erreà: on the front, there is still the presence of DHL Express Italy, a collaboration born in 2018 and, as of today, with an expected expiration in 2024. The big news is the choice shared by FIPAV and DHL to use the logo in rainbow colour: an important message for a more inclusive world, without barriers, without prejudices, where diversity is a value and not an obstacle (as reported in the official press release, available at THIS LINK). On both shoulders of the jersey, there is the double brand BigMat, a leading company in Italy and Europe for the distribution of building materials, which is also Italy’s official supplier for the European Championship.

THE FORMULA. It will be an itinerant European Championship, which will be played between Italy, Bulgaria, Israel and North Macedonia: the 24 participating teams have been divided into four groups and the first four classified in each grouping will access the elimination phase. It starts with the round of 16, then the quarters, semi-finals and the final scheduled for 16 September 2023, which will be played at the Palazzo dello Sport in Rome.
