March 1, 2022 is a historic day for the sponsorship market: today, the first blockchain sponsorship contract was signed in Italy.
Lega Pallavolo (Italian volleyball league), the consortium that brings together the teams participating in the Italian men’s volleyball championships of Superleague, Series A2 and Series A3, and ChainOn, the first marketplace for the negotiation of sponsorships in sports and entertainment through the use of proprietary algorithms, blockchain and artificial intelligence, just signed the first “smart contract” sponsorship based on blockchain technology.

Furthermore, the parties established the ChainOn Innovation Award/Volleyball League, which will be awarded to the League Club that will be more engaged on digital matters in the current season.
