The 22nd Predictive Survey “The Future of Sponsorship” carried out by StageUp with the collaboration of ChainOn shows that the sponsorship industry in Italy grew by +8.2% in 2022, compared to 2021.
The Sports sector in 2022 grew by 2.1% to €768 million, with Serie A Football leading with 61% of investments, followed by Serie A Basketball, Serie B Football and Serie A Men’s Volleyball.
The survey predicts that, despite the economic downturn and high uncertainties related to the war in Ukraine, there will be further modest growth in investments to €1.102 billion (+1.6%) by 2023, growth driven by culture, entertainment and social. The market is expected to return to pre-war levels in 2026.
